Start with an introduction paragraph to introduce your whole paper. This paragraph should include an attention getter/hook, background information about  Native Americans and your topic sentence that includes the tribe you researched.

Then you will write a paragraph or two on each category (Big Idea). Start each section with a heading.

Finally write your conclusion paragraph.

The next step is to revise and edit your first draft. Revise means to add or delete things to make you paper better. Ask yourself:
  • Does this sound right?
  • Is my paper repetitive?
  • Did I use good, strong words or do I need to add some?
  • Are all my words spelled correctly?
  • Did I start each sentence with a capital letter?
  • Are all proper nouns(names of people, places and things) capitalized?
  • Did I end each sentence with a period?
